Adhesive restorations for devitalized teeth: The alternative to full crowns.

Partager

ABSTRACT

Adhesive techniques enable minimally invasive procedures on endodontically treated teeth.
Direct and indirect composite restorations represent modern alternatives to traditional approaches involving posts, core build-ups, and full crowns. This article outlines the principles of this adhesive philosophy and illustrates them through two clinical cases.

Clinical implication:
When residual tooth structure allows, endodontically treated premolars should preferably be restored using direct or indirect adhesive composite techniques, avoiding radicular posts and full-coverage crowns.
