Therapeutic Alternatives for the Restoration of Non-Vital Teeth.

Abstract

Although the use of metal-anchored ceramic-metal crowns remains widespread in Europe for the restoration of endodontically treated teeth, numerous studies highlight the limitations and risks associated with this type of reconstruction. The purpose of this article is to discuss the principles of a modern therapeutic approach based on a minimal invasiveness concept aimed at restoring both aesthetics and function of non-vital teeth. Various treatment options are described, including direct composite restorations, indirect restorations such as endocrowns, and all-ceramic crowns, illustrated with different clinical cases.
